Obituary for Martha Jane Moore

Martha Jane Moore
Martha Jane Moore, 69, of 850 E. Butler Road, Greenville, SC, went to be with the Lord on Nov. 14, 2018 at National Health Care in Mauldin.

Born in Gastonia, NC, she was the daughter of the late Martha R. Moore and the late L. Adger Moore, Sr. Jane worked in the world of banking for 37 years – 14 years with Southern Bank and 23 years with Peoples National Bank in Easley as Vice President of Credit Administration. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Simpsonville, SC.

Jane loved any Rock ‘n Roll music, and especially the Beatles. She was an avid reader and enjoyed old movies. Jane thoroughly loved to get together with family and her cousins to laugh, reminisce, eat good food and laugh some more. But the bright lights of her life were Aubrie, Cady, Crosby, Emily, Cole, Cooper, IzzyB and Macy – her great nieces and great nephews. And, of course their parents, Chad, Mark & Abby – her niece and nephews.

Jane was survived by her sister, Joy Moore Rucker and husband Tom of Simpsonville, two brothers, L. Adger Moore, Jr. and wife Jan of Houston, TX, and Jerry D. Moore and wife Wendy of Irmo; nephews Chad Rucker and wife Michelle of Greenville, Mark Rucker and wife Andrea of Greer, niece Abby Rucker Ivester and husband Matthew of Powdersville; great nieces and great nephews Crosby and Cooper Rucker, Aubrie, Cole and Isabella Rucker, and Cadence, Emily and Macy Ivester; aunt and uncle, June and Walton Howell of Elberton, GA; also several beloved cousins and many friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at 3 o’clock on Sunday November 18, at the North Auditorium of First Baptist Church in Simpsonville, SC, with Dr. Wayne Bray and Rev. Dan Taylor officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service at 2 o’clock in the North Auditorium.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt appreciation for the tremendous care Jane received while residing at National Health Care in Mauldin, SC. You were her extended family. Thank you to every single worker, nurse, therapist and doctor. Our family will never forget your love and support.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to First Baptist Church Simpsonville Building Fund, 3 Hedge Street, Simpsonville, SC 29681 or to Samaritan's Purse at samaritanspurse.org
