James W. Taylor "Jim", 78, of Greenville, passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2016 at his home after a long battle with Alzheimer's.

He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Linda Rycroft Taylor; his children, Debbie Taylor, of the home; and Scott and Susan Taylor of Charleston, SC; his grandchildren, Thomas and Emily of Greenville, Caroline and Mary Catherine of Atlanta, GA, and Payton and Ryan of Charleston, SC; and his sister, Sandra Taylor Campbell of Greenville.

Jim was a 1957 graduate of Greenville High School, and graduated from The Citadel in 1961.

He proudly served his country in the US Army in Munich, Germany from 1962 to 1965.

He was employed as the Human Resource Manager for Bigelow Sanford and General Nutrition.

Jim was a loving husband of 55 years to his wife, Linda; and a fun loving father and grandfather.

He was an avid golfer and collector of all things golf.

His family and friends will miss him and love him forever.

His is preceded in death by his parents, Irene and Harry Taylor; and his two sisters, Shirley Taylor and Lynn Taylor Lewis.

The memorial visitation will be held on Friday, October 14, 2016 at 2:00 pm at The Palmetto Mortuary, with the memorial service following at 3:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Pruitt Hospice.
