Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Sadie Boyd can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Obituary for Sadie Geneva Boyd (Fowler)

Sadie Geneva Boyd, 83, of Conestee, member of First Baptist Church of Conestee, went to be with the Lord, on August 15, 2017. Devoted to her family, not only as a mother, but also as a grandmother and great grandmother, who loved her family unconditionally. She started and ended each day with time in her swing under her favorite tree. In between those times, she loved being out and about with family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Perry Eugene Boyd; her parents, Millard Fillmore and Eva Fowler; her son, Vic Boyd (Nancy); one grandchild, Mark Barton; and, one great grandchild, Israel Michael Cooley.

She is survived by her sisters, Barbara Knight (Jack), Sandra Cross (Dale) and Deborah Fowler; her brothers, Milton Fowler, Jerry Fowler (Edna), and Ted Fowler (Linda); her children, Janet Selman, Cindy Fowler (Tommy), Denise Cooley (Mike), Steve Boyd (Hazel), and Mike Boyd (Robbie); 15 Grandchildren; and, 7 Great Grandchildren.

The visitation will be held at Palmetto Mortuary on 1017 Mauldin Road, Greenville 29607 at 1-2 pm on August 18 to be followed by a funeral service at Palmetto Mortuary. The graveside service will be at Greenville Memorial Gardens at 3:30 at 7784 Augusta Road, Piedmont, SC 29673.
