Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Mary Snyder can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Mary Frances Jones Ellis, 86, of Greenville, SC, went to her heavenly home on Monday, October 2, 2017.

Fran is survived by three loving sons, Jim Ellis (Linda), Michael Ellis (Nancy), and Barry Ellis (Carol), four grandchildren, Brian Ellis (Shirley), David Ellis (Ayleah), Jason Ellis and Amy Ellis Thorup (Carey), one furry grandson, Benji Ellis, three great grandchildren, Gwynn Ellis, Jameson Ellis and Liam Thorup, sisters, Shirley Owen (Boyce), Dorothy Reese (Marvin) and brothers, Rudy Jones (Polly), Randall Jones (Juanita).

She was predeceased by her husband, James Randolph Ellis, parents, Bennett Calvin Jones, Eva Revis Jones and sisters, Bonnie Tyner, Doris Turner.

Fran’s love and many talents enriched and inspired so many others’ lives. She was happiest when serving her family, friends and church she so deeply loved, who also deeply loved her.

A celebration of Fran’s life will be held at Taylors First Baptist Church Sanctuary at 4 p.m., Thursday, October 5, 2017. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Thursday, in the TFBC Gathering Space, prior to the service.
