Obituary for Melva Williams

Melva "Annette" Williams, 77, of Mauldin, went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 8th, 2018.
She is survived by her loving daughters, Kim-mel Bentley (Joe), Kelly Center (Brenda), and Kazana Pepper (Mike); her adoring grandchildren, Lonnette Mayer (Jon), Justin Center (Melody), Erikah Center, Ashtyn Allen, and Nolan Pepper; and her cherished great grandchildren, A. J. Center, Max Mayer, and soon to be Ava Center.
She was preceded in death by her fun loving, pestering, aggravating, and devoted husband, Lonzie Williams; her brother, Butch; and her parents, Melvin and Francis Stoudenmire.
Annette enjoyed her time spent as a Care Giver for many of her family members.
Family and friends will cherish their memories of this devoted, yet feisty, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was a lifelong member of Paris Mountain Baptist Church, formally Park Place. The last moments with some of her church family had them laughing so much they thought they would be removed from her hospital room. She was such a character who could always make people laugh. Annette will be remembered as a great country cook and detail oriented house keeper. She and her soulmate, Lonzie, loved spending time in their family home. They gardened together and quietly enjoyed their lives with one another.
While Annette loved her children, the grandchildren and great grand children stole her heart. She would flip Justin's moped just for fun or go pick pecans with her little Max. He associated her so closely with that activity that he adoringly called her "Nut-Nut".
The Graveside Service will follow at Graceland East Cemetery 2206 Woodruff Road Simpsonville, South Carolina 29681 on Friday, January 12th, 2018 at 1:00 pm.
