She was preceded in passing by her husband, SFC Benjamin Columbus Dearybury, Jr.; her siblings, Peggy Spoon and Doug Massengale; and her parents, Douglas and Annie Massengale.
Georgia loved her family and was a friend to everyone. She surrounded herself by those she loved throughout her entire life. You often could hear her say, "I love you more than gold." Her husband was fortunate to have captured such a beautiful woman. She was an Army wife and picked up many recipes such as her cabbage rolls while living over seas. She loved to cook and bake for her family and friends. Granny, Grandma, Grandmother, Arnie, as her grandchildren and great grandchildren would call her, found time to do something special for each and everyone of them. Georgia kept an immaculate, beautifully decorated house. Friends flocked to her for advice whether it be for decorating or life in general. The family will lovingly look at the red birds and always have Georgia on their mind.
The family will be receiving friends and family at Palmetto Mortuary on Friday, March 16, 2018 from 1:00 to 2:30. The Celebration of Life will follow at Palmetto Mortuary on Friday, March 16th, 2018 at 2:30 pm.
