Obituary for Thomas Ricky Gibbs

Thomas (Ricky) Gibbs, 59, of Simpsonville, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 28th, 2018.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara McAlister Gibbs whom he loved with all of his heart; daughter, Brittany Gibbs Patterson (Andrew); grandchildren, Jaden Surratt and Dallas Patterson; mother, Gladys Gibbs; brother, Jr. Gibbs; best friends, Johnny and Becky Gibson; and nieces and nephews, Renae Phillips (Leon), Haley Phillips, and Jesse McDonald.
He was preceded in death by his father, Herman L. Gibbs, Sr.; and his sister, Brenda Gibbs Bright.
Ricky loved, more than anything, his wife, daughter, and grandchildren. His last words were to tell his wife how much he loved her. When Ricky needed to fill his time with anything other than family, he loved to tinker with old cars and jeeps. However, his favorite were his Chevy trucks. His grandson, Jaden, was Poppa's best assistant. Out of the house, Ricky would find a lake and fish the afternoon away. In the little bit of spare time Ricky had left, he and his buddies would shoot pool at Pals Bar and Grille with his favorite Dr. Pepper in hand. He also was thrilled to support the United States President, Donald Trump. Ricky loved life and will be greatly missed.
