Obituary for David Andrew Watt Jr.

David Andrew Watt, Jr, went to his eternal home June 5. David was born April 12, 1935 in Anderson, SC to David Andrew and Ottie Ruth Watt.

He worked as an industrial mechanic on the flight line of Air Force bases for thirty two years. Five of those years were active duty in the Air Force and twenty seven were as a civilian for the Department of Defense. He truly loved to work with and train many young GIs. After his retirement, he worked for a rental company which was his dream job.

He is survived by his wife, Donna; his children: Lindy Holloway, Andy (Brenda) Watt and Barry (Missy) Watt of Orlando, FL; his grandchildren: Chris (Tanya) Carter, Danielle Carter, Rebecca Watt of Orlando FL, Brandon Watt of Taylors, SC, Sean (Kelly) Carter of Phoenix AZ, and Aaron Watt of Elkton, MD: his great grandchildren: Jiovanni Carter and Nancy Lynn Carter of Orlando, FL and Aolie Adelle Watt of Maine.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 9 at 2:00 PM at Mauldin United Methodist Church sanctuary with a visitation/reception immediately following in the Son Room.

He was predeceased by his parents and his first wife Shirley Rebecca Philyaw Watt.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or Miracle Hill Ministries of Greenville.
