Obituary for Patricia Lynn Pinto (Spencer)

Patricia Lynn Pinto (Spencer) of Greer, South Carolina, went to be with the Lord the afternoon of Sunday, September 23rd, 2018, at the age of 67 surrounded by her loving family.

Pat was born and raised in Cortland, New York on March 3rd, 1951. She is the youngest daughter of Ward and Adele Spencer and has one sister; Marla Williams also of Cortland, New York. There she went to school, would marry her high school sweetheart, raise two beautiful children, and begin her journey to finding happiness in our lord in all aspects of her life. She was a devoted mother and Christian. Pat and John were married on June 16, 1973.They then spent a forty-five-year journey together.

As a passionate follower of Jesus, she never missed an opportunity to discuss her Savior with anyone within the sound of her voice or the reach of her smile. She was involved in Bible study groups in Cortland, New York and then in Greer, South Carolina. Pat was a devoted Christian and brought Christ to her family.

One of the biggest blessings in Pat’s life was having her two children Christopher and Mallori. She loved spending time with them and exploring the world with them as they grew creating beautiful memories along the way. With both of her children and grandchildren having moved to Virginia and South Carolina, she moved south to be closer to family in 2016 and soon began attending Fellowship Greenville. Fellowship Greenville welcomed her with loving arms and she knew it was the perfect church for her and her family.

One of her great passions in life were her grandchildren, Wyatt Pinto and Joie Ma. They meant the world to Pat and she spent as much time as she could with each of them. Both never failed to bring a smile to her face and she adored spoiling them with her love. She enjoyed exploring parks and museums with them and had hoped to take everyone to Disney World in the coming year.

A faithful wife, loving mother, and proud grandmother, Pat is survived by her husband, John; her son Christopher Pinto and wife Jennifer of New Market, Virginia; her daughter Mallori Ma and husband Kevin of Greer, South Carolina; her two grandchildren, Wyatt Pinto and Joie Ma; and her sister Marla Williams of Cortland, New York.

The family will be receiving friends at Fellowship Greenville (3161 SC Hwy 14, Greenville, SC) on Thursday, September 27th, 2018 beginning at 12:00 pm. A celebration of Pat’s life will follow at 1:00 pm.

The family requests that gifts in her memory be given to Fellowship Greenville.
