H. Carl Boone
On January 25, Carl crossed over from this life to a new life with his Lord Jesus Christ (Phil. 3:20,21). Born in Atlantic City he was 93 years old. At the age of 18 and with WWII in progress, he enlisted in the Navy. He served aboard the USS Melville during D-Day. After discharge he was employed by NJ Bell Telephone for 37 years. In 1948 he married Evelyn Frye and they were parents of 4 children: Susan Ridley, Jennifer Bowman, Daniel & David. They had 13 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. In 1975, he was a plaintiff in a case to remove the teachings of Transcendental Meditation by 5 NJ high schools. The US District Court ruled TM as an Eastern Religion. He was a Deacon Emeritus at Hampton Park Baptist Church. There will be a memorial service at the church at 3:00 on January 29. Memorials may be made to The WILDS Christian Camp.
