Obituary for William Brian Edney Sr.
William Edney, 93, of Greenville, died on Friday, August 24th, 2018. Bill was a loving husband and father.
He is survived by his children, William Edney Jr. (Connie), Davide Edney (Ann), Ronnie Edney, and Pam Williams; 9 Grandchildren; 15 Great Grandchildren; and, 6 Great-Great Grandchildren.
Born in East Flat Rock, Hendersonville, NC, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Pauline Edney; his parents, James Wead Edney, Sr. and Lillie Mae Brian Edney; and, two brothers and four sisters.
Bill proudly servied his country as a Navy radio operator during World War II. He commissioned both the Bristol and Frazier. He also served his community as a Police Officer and managed many trucking companies and finished his career as a realtor.
The funeral service will be held at Greenville Memorial Gardens chapel on 7784 Augusta Road, Piedmont, South Carolina 29673 on Wednesday, August 29th, 2018 at 3:00 pm.
