The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Kenneth Sowell can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

The lighting of a Memorial Candle not only provides a gesture of sympathy and support to the immediate family during their time of need but also provides the gift of extending the Book of Memories for future generations.

W. Chuck Cross

Kenny was my closest friends. The type friendship that did not matter how long you are apart. We experienced so much of life together. At Furman, we had our first alcoholic drinks together, pledged KA, roomed together our Junior & senior year, lived thru his motorcycle wreck with many sticky notes of where he was so going or doing that day. We worked thru him not being able to play football anymore. We celebrated him scoring the highest score on the GRE at Furman to get into law school. He was loved by my family. The morning I learned of his death my wife, daughter and I cried. He was a friend of anyone that was my friend. He helped a employee of mine that got arrested in Folly Beach when she called and he did not personally know her. That's a special.person. I was able to spend a couple of days with Kenny about 6 weeks ago. I will always cherish those final minutes with him. Kenny will always be part of my life. Love you man!!
