Carlos Alvite Martinez, 88, of
, went to be with the Lord on Friday, November 17th, 2017. He is survived by his loving wife, Libia Medero; his children, Alberto Alvite, Maria Alvite
, and Alicia Smith (Jerry); his grandchildren, Ximena, Sabrina, Nicolas, and Maria Belen; and his three great grandchildren, Lucas, Maximo, and Sebastian. He was preceded in death by his brother, Telmo Alvite Martinez. Carlos was the life of a party, especially around one in the afternoon when he could have his first scotch with a splash of water. He loved to be around people and socialize. If sports were on, he was watching. He especially loved soccer and cheering on the Penarol and Bella Vista. Explaining the game to his grandchildren and great grandchildren was one of the highlights of his life. He leaves us with his favorite saying
, "Estamos en hora!"
and "Quien, el Hijo de mi Tata?"

Le sobrevive su amorosa esposa, Libia Medero; sus hijos, Alberto Alvite, Maria Alvite (Lauro) y Alicia Smith (Jerry); sus nietos, Ximena, Sabrina, Nicolas y Maria Belén; y sus tres bisnietos, Lucas, Máximo y Sebastián.
Le precedió en la muerte su hermano, Telmo Alvite Martinez.
Carlos era la vida de una fiesta, especialmente alrededor de la una de la tarde cuando podía tomar su primer whisky con un chorrito de agua. Le encantaba estar cerca de las personas y socializar. Si los deportes estaban encendidos, él estaba mirando. Él amaba especialmente el fútbol y animar en el Peñarol y Bella Vista. Explicar el juego a sus nietos y bisnietos fue uno de los aspectos más destacados de su vida. Nos deja con sus frases favoritas, "Estamos en hora!" Y "Quien, el Hijo de mi Tata".
