James Joseph Barnes, 80, of Greenville, South Carolina, went to meet the Lord on, Thursday, October 25, 2018. He is survived in life by his adoring wife, Marianne Barnes; son, Jim Barnes (Carolyn), stepson Mike Thompson (Karen); and his daughter, Terri Mansfield (Scott). His siblings, Ruth, Kathy, Jeff and Barry; his three precious grandsons and two step granddaughters.

James will be remembered for his magnificent woodworking abilities, and his 50 plus years as an upholsterer. His wife Marianne will never forget how much he helped her with her gourd art.

He is preceded in life by his parents Isabelle and Joseph Barnes.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, October 27, 2018, at 1:00 pm, at White Oak Baptist Church at 1805 Wade Hampton Blvd, Greenville, SC 29609.
