Obituary for Carolyn Virginia Flowers
Liberty - Carolyn Virginia Flowers, age 80, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend went home to her heavenly father on Tuesday, January 15, 2019.
Ms. Flowers was a long time resident of Liberty, S.C., but was born in Rockmart, Ga.
She leaves behind her dear sister Shirley Ervin, brother-in-law Tom Ervin and sister Wanda Williams Hamlin. She is survived by son Michael Grossman, daughter Dina Pavone, son-in-law Gene Pavone, and daughter Jaime Leopard. Ms. Flowers was a devoted and loving grandmother to four grandsons, Maximus Pavone, Rocco Pavone, Eian Leopard, and Dakota Leopard.
Ms. Flowers enjoyed sewing, animals, reading, crosswords puzzles and joking with people. Her greatest love was spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Family and friends will gather at Bessie Road Baptist Church, 575 Bessie Road, Piedmont, S.C., 29673, on Tuesday, January 29th for Visitation from 5:00-6:00 pm. A eulogy will be delivered by Pastor Robert Griswald between 6pm - 7pm. The family requests that people make donations to Hospice of the Upstate, Inc. located in Anderson, S.C. or The Greater Charlotte Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, in lieu of sending flowers.
