Obituary for Vilma Reid
Vilma Inza Bailey Reid, 88, of Simpsonville, fell asleep in death on Thursday, January 31, 2019.
She is survived by her former husband, Arnim E. Reid; her son Roger Reid (Kathleen); her daughter, Rogeria Settles (Herbert); her siblings, Horace “Joey” Bailey, Christopher Bailey, and Patricia Sargeant (Percy).; and countless other family and friends that were near and dear to her heart.
Vilma loved to travel, enjoyed reading, music and dancing and watching old movies. She had many hobbies and interests during her lifetime. She will be remembered for her love for life, family and friends and teaching others about the bible.
She was preceded in death by her siblings, Yvonne Thorne, Mildred Lestage, Rosemary Lackan and George Bailey; her parents Hubert Bailey and Dorothy Bailey; her uncles, Leonard Bailey, Fitz Cozier, and Kenrick Cozier; her aunts, Almina Cozier and Adline Bailey and many other family members; her special friends Lucille Schmidt, Muriel Warren and Morris Smith and many other close friends.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at 5:00 pm at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses at 209 Holcombe Road, Simpsonville, SC 29680.
The family is at the home of 1 Crooked Court, Simpsonville, SC 29680.
