Obituary for Bryan Riga

On Friday, February 1, 2019, Bryan Donald Riga, beloved brother, son, nephew, uncle, and grandson, passed away suddenly at the age of 28 years old.

Bryan was born on May 26, 1990 in White Plains, New York. Bryan had a big heart and a knack for making everybody laugh. His charisma lit up a room, as did his beautiful smile, punctuated by his trademark dimple. After graduating from Hillcrest High School with honors, he worked in the restaurant industry as a talented cook and kitchen manager. He took great pride in his craft, and especially loved cooking for his friends and family.

He is survived by his mother, Debra Gardner Riga and father, Donald Riga; grandparents, Harriet Goldman and Carolyn Gardner; identical twin brother, Matthew; younger brothers, Zachary and Justin; older sister, Lauren Stokes and her husband Tanner; niece, Samantha Stokes; and several uncles, aunts, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Alan Gardner; maternal great grandmother, Sara Goldman; and paternal grandparents, Emidio Riga and Loretta Riga.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 6 from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. at Palmetto Mortuary. A memorial service in celebration of Bryan’s life will follow.

Flowers and memorial donations may be made directly to Palmetto Mortuary.
