My Summer vacation

My summer vacation as a teen was spent at my Tia Amparo's house. We had long talks, laughed and she taught me alot about cleaning, cooking and life. I learned that she had to be strong due to her loss of her young husband,Tio Jose and she worked hard at everything thing she did and loved her kids. She had a lil white car and wanted to learn to drive, so I said I would teach her. She was excited so we started in the morning on the driveway, then out to a parking lot where she learned the basics, she practiced breaking, looking at her mirrors, etc. Every morning we went out, then finally out to the street! She was sooo nervous and I sure was for us both but I could not let her know that, so I just held my breath and prayed! On we went narrowly missing parked cars lol, however we made it back to her house.  Once in the driveway I asked her to place the car in park.  She was so nervous her hands were gripped to that steering wheel so tight, her eyes still looking forward as if she saw a Ghost! I said, Tia you can relax we are home and safe! I placed the car on park and then she broke out in a nervous laughter and I joined her!  We continued to practice and she actually got good at driving. I left that summer and after she went for her license. She will always be a special woman in my life that I have appreciated and loved. Te amo Tia!
